Located in the Troms og Finnmark county in Harstad, Bjarkøya sprawls across 14.6 square kilometres and is inhabited by around 260 people. The highest point is Falkeberget, a mountain that peeks over the island at a staggering 248 metres of height.

Situated in the village of Nergården, this cathedral represents the ancient architecture from the 18th century. It has white wooden exteriors and an interior space that can accommodate around 350 people.
